Overview
New PLC with a Proven Record, Great for Basic Machine Automation
- Increased performance and memory capacity.
- Up to 40 I/O units.
- USB for plug-and-play access.
- Models available with/without Ethernet port.
- Choice of serial port plug-in modules.
- User-friendly programming, faster debugging.
CPU models available with five variations in program capacity from 5K steps to 60K steps; allows you to scale the CPU to your application. The CJ2M has faster processors; LD instruction execution time has been reduced to 40 ns, plus floating point trigonometrics take less than 1 μs.
Faster Function Block calls and execution, faster interrupt handling, less overhead time, plus added execution memory for Function Blocks allows structured, object-oriented programming even in entry-level CPUs.
Standard USB port on all models allows Support Software to connect directly through a standard USB cable. Your choice of a Serial Option Module can be mounted to add RS-232C or RS-422A/485 communications ports (CJ2M-CPU3[]).
The CJ2 PLC range is compatible with all existing CJ1 power supply-, I/O-, control- and communication unit hardware, plus programs can be easily converted to new models allowing easy expansion and upgrade of existing machinery.
Models with Built-in Ethernet/IP Port
An open industrial network that implements a control protocol on general-purpose Ethernet technology.

CJ2 CPU Units are available with multifunctional Ethernet ports that are compatible with EtherNet/IP.
Peripheral Devices for universal Ethernet Technology (such as Cables, Hubs, and Wireless Devices) can be used with CJ2 CPU Units. Reduces network installation and wiring costs.
Multiple Functions Can Be Executed Simultaneously on One Port
Support Software, Data Links, Message communications between PLCs, FTP Communications
The port connection does not need to be changed, which makes it easier to build the system.

Efficient Programming with Tag Symbols
There Is Little Effect on Address Changes.
Previously, when data was exchanged by specifying address and addresses were changed, the program had to be changed at other Controllers and various operations, such as memory checks, had to be performed. Now, tag names reduce the dependence on a memory map and the need for checking items affected by changes. This allows equipment to be easily added or upgraded.
